Pillowy Scents of Spring.

Published in Scents & Scene | Written by Cry & Whispers

There’s something magical about the first breeze of spring — a breeze that carries not just warmth, but possibility. It floats through open windows with soft light and sweeter mornings, wrapping around you like a memory you can’t quite place. This season, I find myself drawn to scents that feel like pages from a well-loved diary — tender, nostalgic, and poetic. The kind of perfumes that don’t shout, but whisper. The kind that settles on the skin like sunlight.

Each fragrance in this story isn’t just a scent — it’s a feeling, a fleeting hour, a walk through golden fields, a letter you wrote but never sent. So if you're searching for something angelic, powdered, or cosy with warmth, these are my personal spring companions…

“I want to smell straight out of a hazy angelic cottage-core Movie” So here are some of my top favourite spring fragrances. Juniper berries coated in soft power Orpheon by Diptyque has the most angelic, enchanting, powdery scent I have ever smelled in my Life. If you have ever since those enchanting lakes' ambience videos on YouTube, Orphan takes me there! There is soft cedar in the background, which makes things reminiscent of going on a nature walk and breathing in fresh air. It also makes it slightly masculine, which adds a cool contrast with the fruity notes. “ She’s my prized possession in every season, especially in spring.

You're sipping a fizzy pear soda in the Italian spring; this is English Pear & Freesia by Jo Malone, and it's the Ultimate cottage Core fragrance. It is reminiscent of walking through a blooming spring Garden full of pear trees & rhubarb. There is a slight musk & bite in the background that makes it very unique compared to other floral Perfumes. It has this really interesting rhubarb note that makes it really refreshing & bubbly. This is the only fragment in my collection that completely nails that fizzy & bubbly is whenever I were this, it is almost as invigorating as drinking an actual fizzy soda.

You're walking through the French countryside and you pick apricots & orange’s the juices from those fruits are picked up by the air, there mixed with very soft Power is Good Girl on Bad By Kilian. It is the most enchanting French countryside fragrance. It’s a blossoming white floral that is very multidimensional. When fragrance executes a powdery note well, it almost feels enchanting. Girl on Bad & Orpheon by Diptypue are Great examples of this, if you have ever seen the Film Faustine & the Beautiful Summer, this is that film. It smells like every single scene of that movie, so beautiful, so airy. I don’t normally like powdery scents & sometimes I find floral very boring; however, this, along with all the other fragrances that I mentioned, are very unique. This is one of my number one springtime fragrances.
